Abstract of Navigator: -
I always knew I was destined for a bright and promising future, but at the moment I was still young, living my way through life. But there was one thing that always drew my attention and it was the sky. It always beckoned me, promises of essence and freedom. I often wondered what it would be like to fly in the sky, unhindered by human limitations.

Then I stared towards the mountains and sighed at our first settlement nestled within its embrace. It was a warm place, sweet, small and homey. Not like my house back on Earth, but still a place I could call home.

I then focused my gaze on my long-term friend, Adam, who trotted behind me with a stick in his hand.

“Do you know the history behind this path, Sonya?” Adam asked.

“They said that many years ago, the first explorer landed his ship in this clearing and made the first walk along the path to the colony below. This path was later described as the ‘New World Walk.’ Years later the settlers paved the way with concrete so any would-be adventurer would not have to suffer the hardships the first explorer experienced.”

Abstract of Story: -
On August 29, 2023, the No. 12 elevator descended, transporting its inhabitants to the lobby on the ground floor. There was nothing extraordinary about this lift as it travelled thousands of miles per day, transporting hundreds of people to their destinations.

Boasting state of the art technology and a cable-less structure, this particular lift broke down frequently and became the sour spot on a breathtaking building. As it was on the outside, it offered customers an awe-inspiring view of the city's skyline and maximised much needed office space.

It was twelve thirty in the multi billion-dollar building in New York City and lift number 12 was the only elevator operating at this time of night. Coasting down from the 200th floor, it had already picked up two passengers who hugged in their respective corners, waiting for the doors of freedom to open. The lift offered no soothing tunes and the left over smell of perfume and clammy office workers still resided in the soft fabric of the floors and ceiling.

The silent bubble finally burst when the bald headed man, named Matt, began, "Looks like the storm's picking up."

Abstract of Story: -
One feels a sense of power when they drive a twelve-tone vehicle around the streets of London. Ray knew that if he decided to hit one of those lowlifes on the road, he would escape unharmed. But he couldn't do that. He was a professional and today was no different.

Day in and day out he would go to work, do his rounds and return home to his empty house with a fish tank in the corner with his new addition to the pack, the angel fish he collected from Dave's house.

When he cracked open the fish food and sprinkled the flakes over the surface of the water, he thought back to the night he invaded the man's house.

Now, that was a man who deserved what he got and Ray loved dressing for the occasion. But once that initial adrenaline rush had left his body, he was alone once again with his trusty clown uniform and red plastic nose. It was a routine for him to dress for the kill, not to disguise himself from the authorities, but to demonstrate that a clown's appearance was more than just funny jokes and smart stunts. The clown was the ultimate terror and he loved the novelty. He wanted to put the red back into the image of a clown. He found it thrilling, even when he was a young man terrified of clowns. One could almost think he was a clown inside, waiting to come out.

However, no matter how he tried to display the funny side of his actions, no one laughed when he strangled the life out of Dave. It was a disappointing end to a carefully thought up plan. But it was devised in a hurry. Nothing funny comes from rushing.
